A repair recommendation is only as good as the survey behind it, so we price the survey like the diagnosis it is: a fixed fee agreed before we attend. Rates depend on time of day — see the table below. Any repair the footage recommends is quoted separately.

Emergency call-outs are quoted the same way: call-out and first-hour rate stated when you book, out-of-hours uplift stated as an exact figure, any repair beyond the first hour agreed only after the survey confirms it.

The survey fee and any out-of-hours uplift are agreed when you book — never announced on arrival.
Survey decides the repair, not the other way round
We quote a repair only after the footage shows what it actually needs, so the price reflects the real defect.
Repairs priced separately
The survey tells us the scope; then the repair is quoted before any work starts. You can decline with no obligation.
No invented extras
No “equipment charges”, no “report admin fees” you didn't agree to, no weekend multipliers hidden in the small print.
Pricing questions
What decides where my price falls above the base figure?
Pipe length, access and how many sections need surveying, mainly. We confirm the exact figure when you describe the property — before you commit — and it does not change on the day.
Does the survey fee come off the repair cost?
Survey and repair are priced separately so each stands on its own merit — the survey fee is what it is regardless of what we find, and the repair quote carries no obligation.
Will insurance or a managing agent accept your report?
Our reports include footage, defect codes and distances — the standard a managing agent, surveyor or insurer typically expects as evidence for a drainage issue or dispute.
What if the survey finds nothing wrong?
Then we tell you and you have a clean record of it. A survey that finds no defect is not padded into a repair recommendation you don't need.
Is there a call-out fee on top of the survey?
Where a call-out or minimum charge applies it is shown on this page and confirmed when you book. We do not invent equipment surcharges or report admin fees after the visit.
Do night and weekend rates apply to every borough?
Time bands apply London-wide. The uplift is about when the engineer attends, not which postcode. Outer boroughs use the same fixed prices as central London for the same job type.
Can I get a written quote for my postcode?
Yes. Send the symptoms, property type and postcode via the contact form. We reply with the fixed survey fee, the earliest window and whether out-of-hours rates apply — before you commit.
